“Why aren’t you wearing long pants?”, the most iconic question to ask Danny whenever I see him during winter season. He seemed to be born “cold-blooded” yet bizarrely possessing the warmest heart and soul. That warmness stored within always flow into his rampant enthusiasm for nature, especially the wildest, Tasmania’s forests.

I was inspired by Danny in many ways, and quoted here, is Danny’s words that says everything about this painting: “I will sit in the dirt after a long walk, surrounded by the landscapes I know, watching birds I recognised move through clean, crisp winds, and feeling part of something much bigger than myself.”
